New Products and Features

THIS IS GREAT! Now I can get the same great power conditioning products in field deployable versions!TacticalSolar and TacticalECU lines introduced

ETI has further expanded its popular TacticalPower® line, now offers the most complete line of deployable solar power equipment for use in the field by today's Warfighter overseas as well as the First Responders here in the Homeland. Developed for rapid deployment, the TacticalSolar product line includes both fixed and flexible solar panels, solar charge controllers, battery modules and solar UPS systems. Units can be used to charge batteries in computers and communications gear and/or to operate the equipment directly. AC output voltages are also available. Most of these units are integrated into self contained briefcases and transit cases providing protection for the equipments as well as quick setup in as little as two minutes operating from solar panels as well as from military or emergency vehicles. More details can be found at the website for TacticalSolar.

With wide temperature ranges impacting the operation and performance of computers and communications gear in the field, ETI now offers cooling and heating solutions. Available in portable transit cases or in fixed mount units (trailer/vehicle mount), these rugged Environmental Control Units (ECU) provide air conditioning that allows use of COTS gear in harsh environments. Besides flexibility and high reliability, these ECUs also offer optional intelligent features of local and/or remote monitoring and control of the ECU units and the user's supported equipment. User intelligent interfaces include SNMP and HTTP. More details can be found at the website for TacticalECU.

THIS IS GREAT! Now I can get the same great power conditioning products in field deployable versions!TacticalGenerator® and TacticalPowerPlant™ lines expanded

In response to the requests of our customers, ETI has expanded its line of deployable JP-8/JP-5/diesel fueled power generating equipment for use by the Warfighter overseas as well as in Homeland Security. ETI offers the only Generators that can produce Computer Grade or Medical Grade Power at  DC, 50, 60 and 400 Hz power from one unit. This means one part number can be used in multiple applications around the world. Building upon this Generator technology, the TacticalPowerPlant goes further providing a total power solution. It has the ability to accept energy from any AC source, DC from vehicles and external fuel sources, to deliver continuous Uninterrupted Power to the critical loads under all circumstances.  Intelligent automated monitoring and control allows unattended operation. ETI also offers a Stealth version of the TacticalGenerator and TacticalPowerPlant. A specially designed transit case allows these units to be operated with the covers closed, further reducing the overall noise level and heat signature. More details can be found at the website for TacticalGenerators.

WOW! I can use these UPS products in harsh temperature extremes!!ExtremeUPS™ line of UPS and Power Conditioners Handle both High and Low Temperature Environments and Harsh Loads

These temperature hardened products are in service around the country in unconditioned hostile environments. Most commercial UPS and Power Conditioning products are designed for controlled environments as found in computer rooms. The best of these have operating ratings of 0ºC to +40ºC (32ºF to +104ºF). However, in uncontrolled environments such as outdoor applications, those competing units typically fail due to temperature. Utilizing our certified environmental test chamber, ETI has designed and qualified the ExtremeUPS line  to operating temperatures of -40ºC to +65ºC (-40ºF to +149ºF).

This is amazing! I can have my UPS perform monitoring and control while protecting my loads!Power Conditioner/PDU/UPS Series for FAA with Intelligent SNMP and Manual Controls

The ETI0001-1473AA is specifically designed for FAA rack systems providing high reliability, direct replacement for previous 120 VAC power conditioning and power distribution equipment. The ETI0001-1473AA does not require a separate PDU since the PDU functions are already integrated into the power conditioning module. This saves rack space, cabling and expense while improving overall reliability. The unit also has redundant/conditioned DC outputs. The ETI0001-1473AA can be easily upgraded to a UPS with the addition of its companion battery module. The  ETI0001-1473A also provides backward compatibility for the 208 VAC version. The ETI0001-1473B version also provides backward compatibility for the 208 VAC version, but without needing the separate transformer module of the older equipment.

ETI's Products are Rugged from the Start, Not a Consumer Product Ruggedized.Rugged, Not Ruggedized
(Subtitled, "Not all COTS Products are Created Equal")

Most products sold in the rugged market start out as desktop or consumer products (Commercial Off The Shelf otherwise known as COTS). These vendors will attempt to "ruggedize" their product to compete in the rugged market. These ruggedized COTS products usually fail due to either temperature, mechanical shock or vibration requirements since they were not designed to withstand these extremes!

ETI's products start out rugged whether for COTS or full MilSpec applications. They are designed to and meet Military Environmental Standards. ETI's products have successfully passed these tests numerous times including Mil STDs 167-1, 810, 901D plus surviving the vehicle mounted endurance tests in the notorious Belgium Block and the explosive charges in the Barge tests.

All ETI Products have been Y2K Compliant for 6 years. Not the Least Expensive, But the Lowest Total Ownership Cost (TOC)

In making product evaluations today, the wise decision makers base their conclusions using Total Ownership Cost or TOC. Considering all factors, ETIs products have the lowest TOC due to their overall performance and reliability. Besides the initial product cost, areas to consider are Installation, Training, Maintenance, Spares and Uptime. Products such as the ETI0001-N5 series integrate features that reduce the overall space and installation costs. Defense services and support contractors are already experienced with ETI€™s design and the products operation. Manpower is a very significant factor in TOC. Very high reliability means minimal maintenance, which results in minimal manpower requirements. Once the ETI units are installed, they require very little or no preventative maintenance to keep them operational over the years. Very high reliability means a negligible spare parts requirement. If spares are desired, one set per site would be more than adequate for years of operation. Very high reliability means maximum operational uptime. Since failures usually interrupt operations at the most crucial times and since UPS or PDU reliability impacts multiple downstream loads, minimizing failures or downtime is imperative. ETI has field proven very high reliability and uptime. The Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) exceeds 250,000 hours and the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) is less than one half hour on most of ETI's products!
